The Dallas Cowboys have discussed trading 2017 first-round pick Taco Charlton, NFL Network's Ian Rapoport reports.
The pass-rusher's name came up in trade talks ahead of roster cut-down day at the end of preseason, adds NFL Network's Tom Pelissero.
Charlton suffered a sprained ankle during the preseason and was inactive for the team's season opener, though he was not listed on the Week 1 injury report. The 24-year-old will be a healthy scratch again for Sunday's game against the Washington Redskins, according to Rapoport.
Charlton has started just seven games since being selected 28th overall in the 2017 draft. He has 46 tackles and four sacks in 27 games played.
