Darius Leonard placed in concussion protocol
Indianapolis Colts All-Pro linebacker Darius Leonard has entered the concussion protocol, according to ESPN's Mike Wells.
Leonard, who didn't exhibit any concussion symptoms on Sunday against the Titans, has been productive to start the 2019 campaign. The South Carolina State product recorded 10 tackles and a sack during a Week 2 win, bringing his tackle total this season to 18, which ranks 11th in the league.
The second-year man led the NFL in tackles last year with 163, which helped land him several honors, including Defensive Rookie of the Year and being named a First-Team All-Pro. Leonard also recorded seven sacks, eight pass breakups, four forced fumbles, and two picks as a rookie.
The Colts will be hoping the leader of their budding defense is healthy when the Atlanta Falcons swoop into town in Week 3.
