Report: Eagles' Jeffery has calf strain, status in doubt for next 2 games
Philadelphia Eagles receiver Alshon Jeffery exited Sunday night's game against the Atlanta Falcons with a calf strain which has put his status in doubt for the team's next two contests, reports NFL Network's Ian Rapoport.
The Eagles play two games in the next 10 days, with a battle against the Detroit Lions on Sunday preceding a Thursday night meeting with the Green Bay Packers in Week 4.
Jeffery left Sunday's game without recording a reception. He had five catches for 49 yards and a touchdown in the Eagles' season-opening win.
With both Jeffery and DeSean Jackson sidelined by injuries, quarterback Carson Wentz turned to Nelson Agholor, Mack Hollins, and tight end Zach Ertz for the majority of his 43 pass attempts in Philly's 24-20 loss to Atlanta.
