Peterson cracks top 5 on all-time rushing list, ties Payton for 4th in TDs

Adrian Peterson surpassed another NFL legend on his climb up the all-time rushing list.
By exceeding 65 yards on Sunday, the Washington Redskins running back passed Curtis Martin to sit alone with the fifth-most rushing yards in NFL history.
Peterson entered the day with 14,036 career rushing yards. He topped Martin's career mark of 14,101 in the fourth quarter of Sunday's matchup with the Philadelphia Eagles.
The 12th-year pro also tied Walter Payton for fourth all time in rushing touchdowns. He scored the 110th rushing score of his career on a 10-yard scamper in the third quarter.
