The Minnesota Vikings re-signed wide receiver Laquon Treadwell, the former first-round pick they waived at the end of the preseason, the team announced Tuesday.
Injury concerns at the position - Chad Beebe was placed on injured reserve with an ankle injury - have left the Vikings desperate for depth behind star pass-catchers Adam Thielen and Stefon Diggs.
Treadwell, the 23rd overall pick of the 2016 draft, had just 517 yards and one touchdown across his first three seasons with Minnesota.
The 24-year-old's inability to get open and his frequent drops made him a lightning rod for criticism in his first stint with the Vikings.
