Report: Ramsey unlikely to play Week 4
Jalen Ramsey missed practice on Wednesday due to a back ailment and is unlikely to play for the Jacksonville Jaguars in Week 4, sources told ESPN's Adam Schefter, as the team and player are reportedly in a "stare-down" regarding a potential trade.
During Wednesday's presser, head coach Doug Marrone said between laughs that he didn't know when Ramsey began experiencing the back issue. Ramsey didn't practice Monday after telling the Jaguars he was sick.
The Jaguars later clarified that Ramsey reported back soreness to the medical staff in the fourth quarter of their win over the Tennessee Titans in Week 3, according to Mark Long of The Associated Press.
The cornerback's trade request was confirmed by his agent last week. Ramsey went on to play in Thursday Night Football against the Titans, recording nine tackles and a forced fumble.
As of Saturday, the Jaguars were reportedly unwilling to trade the former All-Pro. It was reported last week that Jacksonville wanted a pair of first-round picks in any potential deal for the corner, who apparently remains firm in his desire to be dealt.
