Packers' Williams, Eagles' Maddox say they're OK after TNF stretchers
Green Bay Packers running back Jamaal Williams and Philadelphia Eagles cornerback Avonte Maddox both delivered promising news Friday after they were stretchered off the field one night earlier because of separate hits.
Both players were taken to hospital Thursday night after receiving shots to the head/neck area. Williams was injured early in the first quarter, while Maddox went down in late in the fourth.
The Eagles announced Friday that Maddox was diagnosed with a concussion and a neck injury. He was quickly discharged from a local hospital in time to fly back to Philadelphia with the rest of his teammates.
Williams and Maddox both had feeling in their extremities as they were transported away from the gridiron.
The Eagles came out of Green Bay with a 34-27 victory.
