Free-agent running back Jay Ajayi has informed all 32 teams that he's healthy and ready to play NFL games, a source told Ian Rapoport of NFL Network.
A market for Ajayi could heat up quickly, Rapoport speculated.
The 26-year-old underwent surgery on a torn ACL in October 2018. He met with several teams throughout the offseason, but none of those visits resulted in a contract.
Ajayi spent the last season-plus with the Philadelphia Eagles, rushing for 592 yards and four touchdowns over 11 games. He was acquired in a trade with the Miami Dolphins midway through the 2017 campaign and helped the Eagles win Super Bowl LII.
Ajayi has one 1,000-yard season on his resume, reaching that benchmark with the Dolphins in 2016.
