Free-agent receiver Antonio Brown is reportedly preparing to file a grievance against the Oakland Raiders to recoup portions of his salary, a source told ESPN's Jeremy Fowler.
Brown initially signed for $30 million guaranteed. However, the Raiders fined him for conduct detrimental to the team and released him, voiding more than $29 million in his contract.
He could seek to recoup his salary for Week 1, the $14-million base salaries for 2019 and 2020, and his $1-million signing bonus, Fowler reports.
The wideout is also reportedly filing a grievance against the Patriots in an attempt to capture the $10 million that was guaranteed in his subsequent deal. New England released him last week.
