Dolphins' Flores: Rosen to start rest of season
Josh Rosen will be the Miami Dolphins' starting quarterback for the remainder of the season, head coach Brian Flores announced Wednesday, according to Armando Salguero of the Miami Herald.
"I like where Josh Rosen is," Flores told reporters, according to The Palm Beach Post's Joe Schad. "He's improving on a week-to-week basis. He's a young, talented player. He needs reps to improve. Throw the ball away when scrambling. Make good decisions. Be accurate."
The Dolphins acquired Rosen from the Arizona Cardinals during April's draft for a second-round pick. He was locked in a training camp battle with veteran Ryan Fitzpatrick - which he ultimately lost - before being named the starter prior to Week 3.
In two starts this season, the 2018 first-rounder has completed 55.6% of his passes for 380 yards, one touchdown, and one interception behind a struggling offensive line and running game.
The winless Dolphins battle the Washington Redskins in Week 6 before two straight road tilts with the Buffalo Bills and Pittsburgh Steelers.
