Another week brings another collection of gut-wrenching bad beats for football bettors.
There's a reason we wait until Monday to release these. Hopefully, if you were on the wrong end of one or more of these outcomes, you've had enough time to hit the reset button.
As always, if you bet on any of these, our sincerest condolences.
Baylor 33, Texas Tech 30
Bad beat: Under 58.5
Forty-eight hours is not enough time to emotionally rebound from this harrowing turn of events. The Baylor-Texas Tech under was a best bet from yours truly in Week 7. The first half? Pretty good!
And then things just got weird.
Both teams traded touchdowns early in the third quarter. By that point, there was still enough of a cushion for a scoring spree. Except Baylor led 17-13 late in the fourth quarter after both offenses stagnated once more.
Tech scored the go-ahead touchdown to make it 20-17 with a few minutes remaining, and then Baylor moved into Red Raiders territory for its own go-ahead score. On fourth-and-goal with 10 seconds left, this happened.
Denzel Mims dropped a would-be game-winning touchdown, Baylor kicked a field goal to send it to overtime, and by the time the horn sounded on a 33-30 final after two extra sessions, I was searching an empty pantry for ramen.
Boise State 59, Hawaii 37
Bad beat: Hawaii second-half ML (+145)
There must have been some bettors holding Hawaii moneyline tickets for the second half of Saturday night's game against Boise State. And if you know one of those humans, make sure they receive a proper hug or two.
Down 17 at the half, Hawaii's deficit ballooned to 31 late in the third quarter. But after two touchdowns and two successful two-point conversions late in the fourth to hold the second-half edge by one point, the Rainbow Warriors opted for an onside kick. Boise recovered, and you can imagine what happened next.
Jets 24, Cowboys 22
Bad beat: Under 44.5
Things looked great for the under in the Jets-Cowboys game late in the third. With a 21-9 lead, New York's Sam Darnold was picked off in the red zone by Jourdan Lewis.
And on the ensuing drive - which bled into the fourth - Cowboys kicker Brett Maher missed a 40-yard field goal.
But after an Ezekiel Elliott touchdown midway through the fourth to make it 21-16, the Jets aggressively moved down the field and kicked a field goal to make it 24-16 with a couple minutes left.
Then the flag fest started.
After three New York penalties put the Cowboys in prime position for a touchdown, Dallas was called for back-to-back flags to make it first-and-27 before the Jets were penalized again.
On the first play, Dak Prescott sealed the total.
Under bettors are seeing yellow flags in their dreams nightmares.
