The Cleveland Browns contacted law enforcement authorities Wednesday after Myles Garrett said a fan punched him in the face, according to a team statement obtained by ESPN's Jake Trotter.
Garrett detailed the incident via Twitter:
A “fan” hopped out his car to take a picture with me and then punched me in my face. Hm, put your legs into it might have actually made me flinch. 👍🏾

Cleveland police identified from a license plate the man they believe punched Garrett, but formal charges have yet to be filed, according to Adam Ferrise of Cleveland.com.
The star defensive end is tied with Shaquil Barrett of the Tampa Bay Buccaneers for the NFL lead in sacks with nine.
