Bengals' Green still has 'little ways to go' before returning from injury
The 0-6 Cincinnati Bengals could sorely use the services of A.J. Green this weekend, but they'll likely have to continue waiting for the seven-time Pro Bowler to return.
Green, who's been out since the first day of training camp with an ankle injury, was a limited participant in practice late last week. However, he's missed both sessions since then and doesn't sound like he anticipates playing in Week 7.
"I'm just taking my time. I'm not sore. I just have to take my time," Green said Thursday, according to Bengals.com's Geoff Hobson.
"If I can go, I can go. If I can't, I can't. It's no big thing. Like I said from Day 1, if I'm healthy enough to play then I'm going to play. Right now, I still have a little ways to go."
Without Green, the Bengals rank 26th in total offense, though the passing game ranks 12th with quarterback Andy Dalton ranked 10th in passing yards.
