Pittsburgh Steelers running back James Conner is doubtful for Week 9 versus the Indianapolis Colts due to a shoulder injury, the team announced Friday.
Fellow running back Benny Snell was ruled out with a knee issue, meaning Jaylen Samuels is likely to see most of the work Sunday.
Conner injured his shoulder Monday against the Miami Dolphins and didn't practice at all during the week. The 24-year-old overcame other injuries to appear in the Steelers' first seven games of the season.
Conner has rushed for 380 yards and four touchdowns this season. He's averaging 3.9 yards per carry, down from the 4.5 yards he averaged in 2018.
Pittsburgh also ruled out offensive guard Ramon Foster for Week 9 due to a concussion.
