Report: DeSean Jackson expected to return vs. Bears
Philadelphia Eagles wide receiver DeSean Jackson is expected to return against the Chicago Bears after a lengthy absence due to an abdomen injury, a source told ESPN's Adam Schefter.
Jackson, who was officially listed as questionable, has been sidelined for the past six games.
The 32-year-old is expected to play through pain after opting against surgery.
"The biggest thing about this is not trying to overdo it. You've got to work back into it, build it up, so that's what I've been doing, and it's been going pretty good," Jackson said Friday, according to ESPN's Tim McManus.
"It's obviously the worst injury I've had, put me on my ass for several weeks, not knowing what to expect or what to do, so it's kind of trying to figure it out and not rush ...That's the most frustrating thing is to experience that pain, especially being a sprinter or a fast guy like myself."
Jackson caught two 50-plus-yard touchdowns in Philadelphia's season opener from Carson Wentz before going down with the injury.
The elite deep threat should provide a major boost to an Eagles offense that has struggled to hit downfield shots without him.
