Mahomes set to return vs. Titans
The reigning MVP is back.
Kansas City Chiefs head coach Andy Reid said Friday that Patrick Mahomes will start Sunday's Week 10 game against the Tennessee Titans "unless something changes," according to ESPN's Adam Schefter.
The star quarterback missed Kansas City's last two games after dislocating his knee against the Denver Broncos in Week 7. While it was initially thought he could be out until after the Chiefs' bye in Week 12, the third-year pro made a fast recovery.
Mahomes said he'll wear a brace in his return, per Nate Taylor of The Athletic.
"I'm in a great spot," he added, according to Adam Teicher of ESPN.
Kansas City went 1-1 in Mahomes' absence, losing a close game against the Green Bay Packers before bouncing back to beat the Minnesota Vikings in Week 9.
Despite being sidelined for two games, Mahomes is still tied for seventh league-wide in passing touchdowns (15). He's also tied for the fewest interceptions (one) with Russell Wilson among long-term starters.
