Brown lashes out at NFL: 'I'll never play in that shit'

Antonio Brown took to social media on Thursday to call out the NFL and used the opportunity to announce he does not intend to play in the league again - a threat he's made before.

"F--- @NFL I'm going down another path no more making money off my blood and sweat! No more control of my name and body clear my name I am done with it! So you fantasy f---- can let it go," Brown wrote in a since-deleted Instagram post.

This is just the latest in a long line of angry social media posts from Brown, who has gone back and forth over the past few months regarding his desire to play in the league again.

Brown tweeted he was done with the NFL in late September before quickly reversing his decision.

Brown's latest outburst comes amid reports the NFL has scheduled a meeting with him for next week as part of its investigation into multiple accusations of sexual assault against him, sources told ESPN's Josina Anderson.

Teams are interested in signing Brown, who's "eager to present his side," pending the outcome of the investigation, added Anderson.

Brown reversed course again late Thursday afternoon, expressing that he was "very frustrated" by the "false allegations and slander."

Brown's former trainer filed a federal lawsuit on Sept. 10, accusing him of rape. The former New England Patriots wideout also sent intimidating texts to an artist who says Brown made an unwanted sexual advance toward her in his home in 2017.

Hours after Brown's harassment was reported by Sports Illustrated, the 31-year-old was released by New England after playing just one game.

The Seattle Seahawks reportedly did their due diligence on Brown before claiming Josh Gordon, and Russell Wilson pushed his team to sign the wideout.

The league said on Sept. 20 that it wouldn't be "appropriate" to place Brown on the commissioner's exempt list as long as he's a free agent and the investigation is ongoing.
