Colts' Brissett is game-time decision
Indianapolis Colts quarterback Jacoby Brissett is a game-time decision Sunday against the Miami Dolphins, head coach Frank Reich said, according to ESPN's Adam Schefter.
Brissett, who has been a limited participant in practice all week, continues to recover from an MCL sprain he suffered in the second quarter of last week's loss to the Pittsburgh Steelers.
"In some ways, I am encouraged," Reich told reporters, including WISH-TV's Charlie Clifford. "I think he (Brissett) has looked OK ... will he be 100%? I don't think there is any way he is 100% by Sunday."
Reich added that Brissett's injury is one the quarterback can play through with "little risk" of suffering further damage, according to IndyStar's Joel A. Erickson.
Veteran Brian Hoyer will make his first start since 2017 if Brissett is unable to play. Hoyer threw for 168 yards and three touchdowns while committing a pair of turnovers last week.
Receivers Parris Campbell and T.Y. Hilton have already been ruled out of Sunday's contest, according to Erickson.
