Kansas City Chiefs running back LeSean McCoy is inactive for Sunday's game against the Tennessee Titans despite not appearing on the injury report, according to Chiefs reporter BJ Kissel.
The decision to make McCoy a healthy scratch was predetermined, as Kansas City wants to give him rest in order to keep him fresh down the stretch, a source told James Palmer of NFL Network.
McCoy fumbled against the Green Bay Packers, his second of the season, in the team's Week 8 loss.
In last Sunday's win over the Minnesota Vikings, the veteran's role was significantly reduced. He had just three carries while Damien Williams rushed for 125 yards and one touchdown on 12 totes.
