New York Giants running back Saquon Barkley went for X-rays after the Giants lost 34-27 to the New York Jets.
The evaluation came after Barkley recorded just one rushing yard on 13 carries. He did add 30 receiving yards in Sunday's contest.
When asked about the injury following the game, Barkley said, "next question," according to ESPN's Jordan Raanan.
Giants head coach Pat Shurmur was no more forthcoming, stating only that the sophomore was "banged up," but Shurmur admitted he was surprised with Barkley's performance.
"It's very unusual of anyone of any caliber in any game," he said, per Raanan.
