Eagles' Peters recently underwent knee procedure
Philadelphia Eagles left tackle Jason Peters recently underwent arthroscopic knee surgery, head coach Doug Pederson told reporters Wednesday, including 97.3 ESPN's John McMullen.
Pederson added that the 16-year veteran, who hasn't played since Week 6 due to a knee issue, would take part in practice on Wednesday and will be re-evaluated at the end of the week.
After missing just two games during a four-year stretch between 2013-2016 that saw him named to four straight Pro Bowls, Peters has now missed 12 contests over the past three seasons.
Rookie Andre Dillard has filled in for the 37-year-old over the past few weeks and has allowed three sacks and nine pressures during his three starts, according to Pro Football Focus.
Pederson also gave updates on wide receiver Alshon Jeffery, who is day-to-day with an ankle issue, and linebacker Nigel Bradham, who won't practice but will do some running on Wednesday. The team is optimistic that Bradham will return this week following a three-game absence due to an ankle injury.
