Ravens OC backs Kaepernick: 'I think his body of work speaks for itself'

The Baltimore Ravens aren't in the market for another quarterback, what with two former Heisman Trophy winners in Lamar Jackson and Robert Griffin III at the position.

But Ravens offensive coordinator Greg Roman is uniquely qualified to weigh in on the subject of free agent Colin Kaepernick's scheduled workout on Saturday.

Roman was Kaepernick's offensive coordinator with the San Francisco 49ers from 2011 to 2014. He was asked on Wednesday whether he feels Kaepernick can help a team in 2019.

"I think his body of work speaks for itself," he said, according to NFL Network's Mike Garafolo.

"You always root for players you coached in the past. Everyone has their own path," he added, according to ESPN's Jamison Hensley.

In six seasons, Kaepernick completed 59.8% of his passes for 12,271 yards, and he threw for 72 touchdowns and 30 interceptions. He's also run for 2,300 career yards and led the 49ers to the Super Bowl in 2012.
