The Cleveland Browns announced Wednesday that tight end David Njoku has been designated for return from injured reserve after he suffered a broken wrist in Week 2.
The third-year pro will practice Wednesday and is eligible to play in Sunday's Week 12 game against the Miami Dolphins. The Browns have 21 days to officially activate Njoku or he must remain on IR.
Njoku was injured on a hard fall after he leaped to catch a pass against the New York Jets.
Last season, Njoku recorded 639 receiving yards and four touchdowns. He posted four catches for 37 yards and a TD this season before suffering the injury.
