Report: Patriots not interested in re-signing Brown
It remains unclear whether Antonio Brown will return to the NFL in the near future, but the New England Patriots aren't interested in a reunion if he does, a source told The Athletic's Jeff Howe.
Howe's report comes after former Patriots tight end Christian Fauria, who now works for local radio network WEEI, said Thursday that New England has held internal discussions about such a move.
The NFL continues to investigate multiple accusations of sexual assault against Brown. The 31-year-old was reportedly interviewed by the league for eight hours Thursday.
Brown is reportedly expected to miss the remainder of the 2019 campaign.
The seven-time Pro Bowler signed with the Patriots following his release by the Oakland Raiders. He was cut by New England after one game.
Three teams have reportedly been in contact with Brown, but the NFL is prepared to place him on the commissioner's exempt list if he's signed.
