Ramsey asks Vick for advice on how to stop Lamar
Baltimore Ravens quarterback Lamar Jackson's dominance on both the ground and through the air this season has led many to refer to him as the second coming of Michael Vick.
The Los Angeles Rams' defense will be the latest to try and contain the MVP frontrunner. On Wednesday, star cornerback Jalen Ramsey took to Instagram to ask the original dual-threat wonder for "tips" on how to stop Jackson ahead of Sunday's game.
Vick couldn't produce an answer.
"Tough question bruh," replied Vick in the comments. "See the reality is this... Lamar is Mike Vick 2019, but with an offense built around his skill, which makes it hard to say. I wouldn't know what to do against a guy kinda like myself. #giveiteverythingyougot."
Jackson has taken huge strides as a passer in his second season. He currently ranks fourth in passer rating (106.3) and is tied for fifth in touchdown throws.
But it's the 22-year-old's dynamic running abilities that have led to comparisons with the former Atlanta Falcons and Philadelphia Eagles quarterback.
Jackson is on pace to run for 1,261 yards this year, which would shatter Vickโs single-season quarterback record of 1,039 rushing yards that he set in 2006.
Vick said that watching the former first-round pick's leap in performance this year has been "shocking" during a Monday appearance on FOX Sports' "Undisputed."
"I will be honest: I didn't think it (the rushing record) would ever be broken," Vick said. "I didn't think a guy would come along and play between the tight hashes and do the things that I've done, but it's just a pleasure ... for me to watch and see another guy just emulating that style - and doing it better."
