Indianapolis Colts tight end Eric Ebron was placed on injured reserve Monday, the team announced.
Ebron requires procedures on both of his ankles, sources told NFL Network's Ian Rapoport.
The 26-year-old played through ankle ailments for most of this season and nearly missed Indy's Week 12 loss to the Houston Texans.
After breaking out for 66 receptions and 13 touchdowns in 2018, Ebron hauled in 31 catches for 375 yards and three scores this year.
He signed a two-year contract ahead of the 2018 campaign and will hit free agency in the coming offseason.
