Rivers would consider playing for team other than Chargers
Philip Rivers played the final game on his contract with the Los Angeles Chargers on Sunday.
Rivers has spent his entire 16-year career with the franchise and intends to continue playing, even if it isn't in L.A.
"I plan to play football. Where that's going to be will get sorted out over the next three months," the 38-year-old said.
"I'm very thankful for the 16 years and if there's another, I'll be thankful for that one."
Rivers had a down year in 2019, finishing the season with 4,615 yards through the air, 23 touchdowns, and 20 interceptions.
Following Sunday's loss to the Kansas City Chiefs, Rivers said he cares less about stats and more about winning.
"I know the people that know, know. And that's that I still can play at a high level," he said. "Have I made plenty mistakes this year that hurt us in some games? Yes. Were we in some games we could have overcome them? Absolutely. See it all over the league ... The stats won't tell the whole story today, that's why, at this point in my career, I couldn't care less about them."
