The Washington Redskins are meeting with Ron Rivera on Monday for their vacant head coaching position, his agents told NFL Network's Ian Rapoport.
Rivera, the former Carolina Panthers head coach, has emerged as a top candidate for the job, Rapoport adds.
The Redskins fired Jay Gruden after an 0-5 start to the year, giving the franchise ample time to determine its next coaching target.
Rivera spent nine years in Carolina, accumulating a 76-63-1 record that included a trip to Super Bowl 50 in 2015.
