Report: Ertz expected to return for wild-card game vs. Seahawks
Philadelphia Eagles tight end Zach Ertz is expected to return from a rib injury and a lacerated kidney for Sunday's playoff contest against the Seattle Seahawks, a source told ESPN's Adam Schefter.
Ertz missed Week 17 after being injured the previous week in a pivotal win over the Dallas Cowboys. The three-time Pro Bowler registered 88 catches for 916 yards and six touchdowns in 15 regular-season appearances.
The return of Ertz would be a major boost for the injury-depleted Eagles, who aren't expected to have right tackle Lane Johnson back from an ankle ailment against Seattle. Johnson's neighbor on the offensive line, right guard Brandon Brooks, has already been ruled out for the playoffs.
Johnson and wide receiver DeSean Jackson are expected to have a realistic shot at returning from their injuries in the divisional round if the Eagles get past the Seahawks.
