Alabama wide receiver Henry Ruggs III announced Monday that he'll forgo his senior season and enter the 2020 NFL Draft, where he's widely expected to be a first-round pick.

Ruggs is one of a host of former Crimson Tide players who could hear their names called on Day 1 of the draft, including quarterback Tua Tagovailoa, fellow receiver Jerry Jeudy, and cornerback Trevon Diggs.

Tagovailoa also declared his intention to leave Alabama on Monday, while wideout DeVonta Smith said he'll return in 2020.

Jeudy, Smith, and Ruggs formed arguably one of the best wide receiver trios in the history of college football.

Smith led Alabama in receiving yards and touchdowns in 2019 but was far less certain to be a first-rounder in a loaded receiver class.

While Ruggs' production this past season - 40 catches for 746 yards and seven touchdowns - trailed that of his two star teammates, the junior's game-breaking speed and ability downfield make him a highly enticing pro prospect.
