New York Jets quarterback Sam Darnold underwent surgery Tuesday to repair a ligament in his left thumb, Brian Costello of the New York Post reports.
The second-year passer isn't expected to miss any action this offseason, however.
Darnold suffered the initial injury on Oct. 27 against the Jacksonville Jaguars and wore a brace under his glove for the remainder of the season, according to Costello.
In 2019, the pivot played in 13 games - missing three weeks with mononucleosis - and finished with 3,024 passing yards, 19 touchdowns, and 13 interceptions.
