Patrick Graham will vacate the defensive coordinator position with the Miami Dolphins to take the same job with the New York Giants, a source told Tom Pelissero of NFL Network.
The Dolphins are expected to fill the opening by promoting cornerbacks coach Josh Boyer, sources told Pelissero.
Graham served one season on Brian Flores' staff in Miami, overseeing a unit that improved throughout the campaign despite a lack of top-end talent. The Dolphins ranked 27th in points allowed per game, giving up 27.1.
Boyer was a defensive assistant with the New England Patriots from 2006-18 before accompanying Flores to the Dolphins last year.
The Giants are working to fill out rookie head coach Joe Judge's staff.
