Kwon Alexander is looking to trademark "Hot Boyzz," the nickname for the San Francisco 49ers' linebacker corps.
Alexander recently submitted trademark applications for "Hot Boyzz" and "Hot Boyzz University," according to NFL Network's Ian Rapoport.
"It really just started with the linebackers at first," Alexander said of the movement, according to Evan Webeck of The Mercury News. "We were just trying to find our identity. We found it and it became the whole team."
Alexander had shirts emblazoned with "Hot Boyzz" made for his teammates earlier this season, and he shouted out "Hot Boyzz University" during player introductions for the 49ers' NFC divisional-round matchup against the Minnesota Vikings.
