Report: Kitchens expected to join Giants' staff
The New York Giants are expected to add former Cleveland Browns head coach Freddie Kitchens to their coaching staff under Joe Judge, sources told Matt Zenitz of AL.com.
It's unclear what role the longtime offensive position coach will receive, but the coordinator job has already been filled by former Dallas Cowboys head coach Jason Garrett.
Kitchens is coming off a one-year stint as head coach of the Browns, where he posted a 6-10 record in a campaign filled with drama on and off the field. The 45-year-old has experience coaching quarterbacks, tight ends, and running backs at the NFL level.
The Giants are also set to hire New England Patriots defensive line coach and former Arkansas head coach Bret Bielema to their staff in an unknown role, according to Ian Rapoport of NFL Network.
