Jerry Jones mulling Dez return: I've thought about it 'in the shower'
Most people do their best thinking in the shower. Jerry Jones is no different.
The Dallas Cowboys owner spoke to the media Thursday and was asked about the possibility of re-signing receiver Dez Bryant.
"I haven't talked to Dez, but I have been thinking about it a lot in the shower," Jones said, according to Jon Machota of The Athletic. "I'm thinking about it."
Jones added that he knows Bryant "better than anybody," per Cowboys beat writer Nick Eatman.
Bryant played for Dallas from 2010-17 before he was released in 2018. He signed with the New Orleans Saints that November but tore his Achilles in his first practice.
The 31-year-old has been attempting a comeback ever since and recently worked out with Super Bowl-winning quarterback Patrick Mahomes.
Bryant appeared open to a reunion when reacting to Jones' comments on Twitter.
