Bengals release Glenn after reported failed trade attempt
The Cincinnati Bengals released offensive tackle Cordy Glenn on Friday.
The club made the move after being unable to find a trade partner, a source told ESPN's Adam Schefter.
2019 first-round pick Jonah Williams will likely take over at left tackle after missing his entire rookie season with a shoulder injury.
Glenn was moved back to left tackle from left guard after Williams was hurt, but his season was limited to just six appearances (five starts).
The 30-year-old was sidelined until November due to a concussion. His lengthy absence caused an issue with the Bengals, who suspended him for one game due to an argument with a coach.
Glenn was originally acquired in a trade with the Buffalo Bills in 2018.
Cincinnati saves $9.5 million in cap space with no dead money by releasing the veteran, per Spotrac.
