The NFL players' union voted Saturday to ratify the owner-approved proposal for a new collective bargaining agreement, securing labor peace through the 2030 season.
It was a narrow decision on the players' end, with 1,019 in favor and 959 opposed (51.5% to 48.5%). The deal will see an increase in player compensation along with a 17-game regular-season schedule and an expanded playoff field, among other changes.
Some players took to social media on Sunday morning to express their disappointment about the CBA's approval:

This CBA was shortsighted and constructed to benefit the players who made the majority of the league. Yes minimum salary was raised but at the cost of the players who paved the way physically/psychologically just to be short changed w/o a voice to defend their benefits. Sad
