Report: Giants adding Bradberry on 3-year, $45M deal
The New York Giants will be signing cornerback James Bradberry to a three-year contract worth $45 million, including $32 million guaranteed, a source told NFL Network's Ian Rapoport.
Bradberry, who played his first four seasons with the Carolina Panthers, was one of the top free-agent defensive backs available this offseason.
At $15 million in average annual value, the 26-year-old will become the NFL's third-highest-paid cornerback behind the recently signed Byron Jones and Xavien Howard, both signings by the Miami Dolphins.
A second-round pick in 2016, Bradberry started all 60 games he played for Carolina. He's accumulated eight interceptions and two forced fumbles thus far in his career.
Bradberry will slide in as New York's No. 1 cornerback, filling a major need in the team's secondary. He'll likely start next to 2019 first-round pick Deandre Baker.
