Wilson lobbies for Seahawks to bring back classic uniforms

Seattle Seahawks quarterback Russell Wilson wants the team to bring back an old look.

On Wednesday, Wilson shared a Photoshopped image of himself in a throwback Seahawks uniform along with the caption, "This is a MUST."

Wilson could get part of his wish as early as next season. NFL spokesperson Brian McCarthy told Pro Football Talk on Wednesday that the league is considering allowing teams to use alternate helmets in games beginning in 2021.

"There are ongoing discussions for a potential change for the 2021 season, but no decisions have been made," McCarthy said.
