Falcons unveil flashy new uniforms featuring NFL's 1st gradient jersey
The Atlanta Falcons officially unveiled a bold and ultra-modern new set of uniforms on Wednesday, hours after they leaked online.
The red-to-black jersey is the first in NFL history to feature a gradient. It's a look reminiscent of Texas Tech's alternate uniforms from 2014:
The new uniforms feature an oversized "ATL" wordmark on the front of the home, road, and alternate jerseys. Also included in the set is a black throwback uniform.
The Falcons' logo remains unchanged, but the helmet now has a matte black finish and a chrome silver facemask.
The Buccaneers were widely praised on Tuesday after unveiling new uniforms their Super Bowl-era look heavily influenced. Their NFC South rivals in Atlanta are doing anything but returning to tradition.
