The unveiling of the Tampa Bay Buccaneers' new uniforms Tuesday led to a big surge in merchandise sales for both the team and new quarterback Tom Brady.
Apparel website Fanatics experienced a 3,000% increase in sales of Brady merchandise day-over-day following the unveiling, according to Ian Rapaport of NFL Network. Brady is the top-selling athlete across all sports on Fanatics, while the Bucs are the top-selling team.
The new Bucs uniforms are inspired by the team's Super Bowl-era look and include their first-ever pewter jersey.
Brady ranked second among NFL players in merchandise sales for the 2019 season, finishing behind Kansas City Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes.
