Baltimore Ravens quarterback Lamar Jackson received a retweet and a compliment from United States President Donald Trump on Saturday.
The reigning NFL MVP shared a video of former Louisville teammate Jaire Alexander reacting to him getting drafted No. 32 overall in 2018, which Trump retweeted with a message calling Jackson a "great pick."
Jackson responded to Trump's tweet with "Truzz Trump."
After receiving criticism online, Jackson attempted to clarify the meaning of his reply to Trump:
"Big Truss" became the Ravens' unofficial catchphrase during the 2019 season after running back Mark Ingram said it while introducing Jackson for a postgame media session.
This isn't the first time Trump has shown support for a Ravens signal-caller. In 2015, he called Joe Flacco an "elite quarterback."
