The Washington Redskins have spoken to multiple teams regarding a potential trade for disgruntled left tackle Trent Williams, sources told Ian Rapoport of NFL Network.
The Redskins previously gave Williams permission to seek a trade, but ahead of the draft, the team has closed the window for the veteran to find his next home and will take full control of any negotiations, sources told Rapoport and Mike Garafolo.
The Cleveland Browns are the team most recently connected to the 31-year-old Williams, though reports indicate no deal between Washington and Cleveland is imminent with the NFL draft set to begin Thursday.
Other interested clubs reportedly include the Arizona Cardinals, New York Jets, and Houston Texans.
Washington is believed to be seeking a second-round pick in exchange for the seven-time Pro Bowler.
