Report: Saints-Buccaneers in Week 1 among 2020 schedule leaks
An opening-week tilt between Drew Brees and Tom Brady is among the reported leaks of the 2020 NFL schedule.
The New Orleans Saints will host the new-look Tampa Bay Buccaneers in Week 1, a source told Nick Underhill of NewOrleans.Football.
The Saints will then feature on Monday Night Football in Week 2 when they travel to meet the Las Vegas Raiders, and on Christmas Day when they host the Minnesota Vikings, according to The Athletic's Jeff Duncan.
Elsewhere, the Buffalo Bills will host the New York Jets in Week 1, reports Manish Mehta of the New York Daily News, while the Philadelphia Eagles will visit the Washington Redskins, according to JP Finlay of NBC Sports Washington.
The reported leaks contradict the NFL's rumored plan to stack the first month of the season with non-conference games in order to preserve competitive balance should the coronavirus pandemic force trims to the schedule.
The NFL will unveil the 2020 schedule in its entirety Thursday evening.
