Michael Thomas, DeVante Parker clash on Instagram: 'Quit crying'
New Orleans Saints wide receiver Michael Thomas and Miami Dolphins wide receiver DeVante Parker got into a heated war of words on Instagram on Monday.
Answering a question posed by the NFL on Fox Instagram account about whether it's harder to make a catch while being guarded by Stephon Gilmore or to break up a pass intended for Thomas, Parker picked his AFC East rival, whom he torched for 137 yards in Week 17 last season.
His choice left Thomas feeling aggrieved:
Thomas snagged 149 passes in 2019, breaking the NFL's all-time single-season catch record and firmly establishing himself among the league's elite wideouts.
Parker, meanwhile, had a career year of his own, shedding his bust label by racking up 1,202 yards and nine touchdowns on 72 catches. It was the former first-round pick's first 1,000-yard campaign as a pro.
The two players appeared to react to their brief feud later on Twitter:
Thomas is no stranger to trolling fellow wideouts online, having chided Adam Thielen and Stefon Diggs during the Minnesota Vikings' divisional-round loss to the San Francisco 49ers in January.
