Report: Dolphins 'in no hurry' to trade Rosen despite interest
The Miami Dolphins received trade inquiries for quarterback Josh Rosen earlier in the offseason, but the team is "in no hurry" to trade the former first-rounder, according to NFL Network's Michael Giardi.
Rosen, who was selected 10th overall in 2018 by the Arizona Cardinals before being acquired by the Dolphins for a second-round pick a year later, is seemingly the odd man out in Miami after the team selected Tua Tagovailoa No. 5 overall during the 2020 draft.
Meanwhile, Ryan Fitzpatrick is coming off of a solid season as the AFC East club's starter. He is all but certain to be the backup if Tagovailoa earns the top job. Fifth-year pro Jake Rudock is also on the Dolphins' roster.
Rosen started three games for Miami in 2019 but was quickly supplanted by Fitzpatrick after the sophomore completed just 53.2% of his passes and threw one touchdown against five interceptions.
In 2018, Rosen started 13 games (and appeared in one more) for the Cardinals to similarly disappointing results. The quarterback finished with 2,278 passing yards, 11 touchdowns, 14 interceptions, and a 55.2% completion percentage.
