Jamal Adams requests trade from Jets
Jamal Adams has officially requested a trade from the New York Jets, the All-Pro safety told Kim Jones of the NFL Network.
Adams would approve a deal to the Baltimore Ravens, Dallas Cowboys, Houston Texans, Kansas City Chiefs, Philadelphia Eagles, San Francisco 49ers, or Seattle Seahawks, a source told ESPN's Adam Schefter.
However, the Jets have no intention of trading the 24-year-old, ESPN's Rich Cimini reports.
Adams has been the subject of rampant trade rumors. He has also voiced his frustration about not yet landing a lucrative extension as he prepares to enter the fourth year of his rookie contract.
Earlier Thursday, Adams took to Instagram to reply to a comment about Kansas City Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes potentially landing a megadeal.

Adams has also recently stated publicly that the Jets have yet to offer him a contract proposal he said he was promised in January.
Since being selected sixth overall by the Jets in the 2017 draft, Adams has made two Pro Bowls and was named a first-team All-Pro in 2019.
Regarded as one of the best box safeties in the league, Adams recorded 112 total tackles, 3.5 sacks, and 12 passes defended in 2018 before following that up with 74 tackles, 6.5 sacks, and seven pass breakups in 14 games last season.
Adams is scheduled to make $825,000 in base salary in 2020. The Jets have already exercised a fifth-year option that would pay the hard-hitting defensive back $9.8 million for the 2021 season.
Jets general manager Joe Douglas said ahead of April's draft that he didn't plan on trading any players but would listen if a team called.
"Our plan is to keep Jamal here for a long time," he said.
