Edelman invites Jackson to discuss anti-Semitism, discrimination in NFL

A handful of NFL players are responding to the anti-Semitic quotes shared by Philadelphia Eagles wide receiver DeSean Jackson on social media, including New England Patriots pass-catcher Julian Edelman.

Edelman posted a video Thursday offering to meet with Jackson and discuss both anti-Semitism and racial discrimination in the NFL.

"There's no room for anti-Semitism in this world," Edelman said. "Even though we're talking about anti-Semitism, I don't want to distract from how important the Black Lives Matter movement is and how we need to stay behind it.

"We need to have those uncomfortable conversations if we're gonna have a real change," he continued. "So to that end, DeSean, let's do a deal. How about we go to D.C. and I take you to the holocaust museum? And then you take me to the Museum of African American History and Culture. Afterwards, we'll grab some burgers, and we have those uncomfortable conversations."

Other players recently took to social media in response to Jackson's post, encouraging a united front for all religions and cultures.

Jackson apologized shortly after the incident and reposted part of the quote with the majority of the page blacked out.
