Ed Oliver's DWI, weapons charges dismissed
Buffalo Bills defensive tackle Ed Oliver's charges of driving while intoxicated and unlawfully carrying a weapon were dropped, according to Aaron Wilson of the Houston Chronicle, citing Montgomery County court records.
Oliver condemned the actions of police officers involved in his arrest on social media:

The Bills released a statement praising Oliver's behavior following the incident. Buffalo said the second-year defensive lineman "can now turn his full attention on the upcoming training camp and season."

The 22-year-old was pulled over when authorities responded to a 911 call about a white Ford Super Duty pickup driving dangerously in a construction zone May 16.
Police officers apparently found an open beer bottle between Oliver's legs, and determined the defensive tackle to be impaired "by possibly something besides alcohol."
"Ed wasn't intoxicated, he wasn't drinking," Oliver's attorney Gary Patterson said Wednesday, according to Wilson. "The report that there was a beer can between his legs was totally inaccurate. He blew a triple-zero on (the) breathalyzer. Blood tests were all negative."
Oliver was the ninth overall pick in the 2019 draft following a standout career at Houston. In his first season in Buffalo, he racked up 43 tackles and five sacks.
