Seahawks' Carroll says NFL protests 'possible'

The NBA postponed its playoff slate Wednesday after Milwaukee Bucks players boycotted their game in response to the police shooting of Jacob Blake in Kenosha, Wisconsin.

Shortly after, Seattle Seahawks head coach Pete Carroll answered a question about the possibility of such protests occurring during the NFL season.

"Anything's possible. I mentioned to the players, it's the protest season. It's the season of protest. We'll handle ourselves as we do, but this is a protest that doesn't have an end to it until all the problems go away," Carroll said at his Wednesday press conference.

Carroll then went on to commend the Bucks and the NBA players for their response.

"I really applaud those guys for taking the night, but we all know that's not enough, it's just a statement," he said. "What is important - and everyone that's involved knows - is what we do about it. ... This whole thing is ridiculous, and anybody that doesn't recognize that just isn't paying attention.

"This is just ridiculous that we're putting up with this. I can't even imagine that this continues to happen. I don't know how somebody could ever do that under the circumstances and the awareness that everybody should have right now. But it continues to happen, so it continues to be a real problem."
